Paul Gizzi
Director of Seahorse Ministries
Paul & VIckie Gizzi relocated to Los Angeles from the San Francisco Bay area in 1992 after serving as a principal and administrator at Contra Costa Christian High School. Paul grew up in Japan where his parents were missionaries to the Japanese as well as to US military personnel. Paul and Vicki both attended Biola University. Paul was a standout goalkeeper at Biola and played professionally for four years in the North American Soccer League with the Seattle Sounders and San Jose Earthquakes. He has led tours to Japan every summer since 1996. Vickie works at the Seahorse MAI Headquarter office and serves the mission in many ways. Paul and Vickie reside in La Habra, CA and have four children: Ginny, Jaclyn, Glenn and Stephen.
Matt Morse
Camp Director, Office Communications & International Tours
Matt has a long history with the Seahorses, beginning in 1990 when he was a player with the Seahorse boys U19 team. He later became a part-time coach and camp staff member. He then tried his hand on Seahorse tours as player and as a coach. Along the way, Matt has traveled to Denmark, Guatemala, Haiti, India, Japan, Mexico, Norway & Sri Lanka on MAI International tours. Matt attended Biola University where he earned a degree in Intercultural Studies (Anthropology). He holds a USSF C coaching license. He worked for four years as office manager at his father’s printing business before he and his wife, Dianna, were called to join the Seahorse staff full-time. Matt and Dianna reside in La Mirada, CA and have three children: Josh, Ben and Luke.
Mark Schrock
GM Seahorse PDL team
Mark has been involved with the Seahorses in various capacities and brings strong administrative experience and a commitment to the organization of over 20 years. Mark is currently the General Manager of the Seahorses PDL team and has served as CAO for the Seahorses umbrella organization, Missionary Athletes International. Mark also brings with him multi-cultural understanding and personal soccer achievements, having grown up in Argentina and enjoyed a college career as an All-American sweeper for the Biola University team. Mark and his wife, Debbie, live locally in La Mirada and have three children.
Nathan Wood
International Tours & Web development
Nathan first connected with the Seahorses while their PDL team was on tour in his hometown of Ometepec, Mexico in 2009. Born in Chile, and raised in Colombia and Mexico, he has a long history in sports ministry, as his parents are missionaries partnering with Sports Outreach Institute. Since playing with the PDL team on his home soil in 2009, Nathan has moved to Southern California to join in serving the Seahorses as a full time staff member. He played with the in 2010 PDL team, as well as participated in leading after-school clinics and coaching on the Seahorse camps staff. He enjoys working with and playing on the Seahorse amateur team and will be leading youth tours during the summers. Nathan holds a B.S in Kinesiology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara and holds a USSF D coaching license. He enjoys long walks on the beach with his wahine and scuba diving.
Bill Galipault
Sports Ministry Training
Bill and Lisa Galipault first joined the Seahorse staff in 1988 spending five years in L.A. followed by six years in the Czech Republic. From ’99 – ’10 Bill served three years with Fellowship of Christian Athletes and then as Small Groups and Recreation Pastor at Rose Drive Friends Church in Yorba Linda. Bill and Lisa have three daughters: Meredith, Laurel and Shannon.
