Deserae Stickney leader of the VIVA AZUSA program writes: “The Viva Azusa soccer ministry puts on an annual Day of Champions (on March 17th) which the Seahorses have been a part of since the beginning.  We invite children from all over Azusa and the surrounding communities to participate in this fun and exciting event.  The Seahorses create a soccer clinic and scrimmage that incorporates valuable life lessons such as perseverance, teamwork, dedication, and good sportsmanship, integrated with the teachings of Christ.  The looks of sheer delight and excitement on the faces of the children demonstrated the success of the day and the wonderful job that each one of the volunteers did. We at Viva Azusa are much indebted to the California Seahorses; their dedication and enthusiasm for teaching the game of soccer to the youth of Azusa and southern California is inspiring.”
