Children were invited to the clinics and the attendance in 3 days went from about 12 to over 45! The students were enthusiastic about the practical training. In the evening we would discuss the afternoon events, listen to the students share their personal stories and vision for CCSM and pray. We were very encouraged to hear how God is leading them in CCSM either back to their own lands or to a ‘foreign’ country.
One of the students, Roblans, was involved already in local Soccer Ministry. On Saturday we went to the church that he works with; did some training of the leaders and then participated in an outreach that they had. It was wonderful to see Roblans using some of the material that he had learned.
We then traveled to the city of
Huehuetenango
with David and Helen Ekstrom-CAM International missionaries. We had 3 CCSM sessions there. On the last day we sere teaching some games and as the children in the neighbor hood heard the noise, they came around and joined in! It was an awesome example of how God uses sports and games to build relationship for His Kingdom!.
