Coach Elkins comes with a formidable record as a player and as a coach. His playing days had him at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California, where he earned All-American honors. Post college days had Todd playing for the Charlotte Eagles USL winning the championship in 2000. He then helped get the PDL program started for the Seahorses as a player from 2001-2004. He then took over the head coaching position from 2005-2013. Todd has been to 25 countries on mission’s trips which brings with it a vast experience in these kinds of trips. 


Coach Joey O'Keefe grew up in Victorville, California where he went on to play at Biola University. While in college, he earned numerous playing awards including GSAC Player of the Year and First Team All-American Honors. O'Keefe played for the Seahorses from 2013-2016. After his Seahorse playing tenure, Joey signed with BSK Bischofshofen in Salzburg, Austria. O'Keefe serves as a scout for the LA Galaxy II USL Championship squad where he travels internationally to recruit players. O'Keefe recently took the Director of Soccer role at Westcliff University for both the Men's and Women's teams. Joey has also been on several international outreach trips with the Seahorse's including: Mexico, Cuba, Czech Republic and Japan.

Paul Shedd was born in Bolivia and grew up in Chile where he developed his passion for soccer. He was the leading scorer his last two seasons at Ben Lippen High School  (Asheville, NC.a 1960-70's prep powerhouse) netting 37 goals. He then attended and continued his career at Wheaton (IL) College.

Paul has over 20 years of coaching at several levels, including but not limited to: 3 High School State Championship titles, assistant PDL coach, work abroad in several countries (including having lived in Tanzania, East Africa) and much more! Currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida working with African children. 



Mark Schrock is an Alumni of BIOLA University (or as it was known then, BIOLA College, but we won't talk about that) and was the first All American Soccer player from BIOLA. Born and raised in Argentina-soccer is in his blood. Mark was also on the founding board of Missionary Athletes International (Seahorse Soccer's father organization) and has been on staff with MAI since 1993. This will be Mark's 9th year as GM.



Brandon Gonzalez played for the Seahorses from 2006 to 2010 as well as playing for one year of PDL in Seattle, Washington. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Biola University and an M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University. 

Brandon is currently Director of Athletics at Pacifica Christian High School-Orange County. He began and oversees 17 Varsity Programs. He is also the Varsity girls’ soccer coach. Prior to Pacifica Christian, Brandon was the Associate Athletic Director and Director of Girls Soccer at The Bear Creek School in Redmond, WA. There he oversaw 23 high school sports teams and 14 middle school sports programs. While coaching at Bear Creek he led his team to three straight State Finals winning back-to-back State Championships in 2012 and 2013.
