We are pleased to announce that Kelly Warner has accepted the position of LA Office Director for MAI. Kelly will be taking the position that Paul Gizzi held for nearly 25 years and that Mark Schrock has filled on an interim basis for the last several months. Kelly is expected to start in January 2018.
Kelly comes to us from Whittier Area Community Church where he has held the position of Sports/Men’s Pastor for 15 years. His responsibilities there included promoting, maintaining and managing the WACC sports leagues comprised of over 600 youth; recruiting and training volunteers; fundraising, managing the sports office staff and performing pastoral responsibilities. Kelly increased the sports league membership by 200% and recruited over 1000 volunteers during his tenure. Kelly will continue in his position with WACC while he goes through his support-raising process. Mark Schrock will continue to act as the LA Office Director until Kelley assumes his position in January.
Kelly’s involvement with the LA office and the Seahorses goes back over 20 years when he participated on a Seahorses Japan outreach tour and played on the Seahorses amateur team for three years. He has participated on other outreach tours to Malawi and Sweden with other sports organizations. Kelly is an active member of Whittier Area Community Church.
Kelly is a graduate of Rio Hondo College with a degree in Fire Science. Kelly is a trained firefighter and licensed EMT. Kelly lives with his wife, Stephanie and three children, in Whittier, CA.
Please join us in welcoming Kelly to MAI!
