Johnny Juarez-Jackman has a long history in sports ministry, beginning his ministry career playing for a Christian Soccer Team (Vanguards) in So. Cal and then moving to Salem, OR to play for the Cascade Surge PDL team where he helped establish a sports ministry program in the community. He was then recruited by the Charlotte Eagles Pro Team, sister team of the Seahorses, where he played for two years.
Following his professional soccer career he served as Head of Soccer for Charlotte Christian School, Youth and Associate Pastor for a church plant and Project Manager for a church construction company. Through the years he has followed God’s call to serve the Kingdom of God by using the gifts he has been given. "Returning home to be near family and serve once again with MAI has been an amazing blessing" states Jackman, "Having the privilege to speak truth into the lives of these young men while challenging them to achieve success on the field is a dream job." Jackman served as Assistant Coach for the 2013 season and continues to mentor some of the 2013 players, recruit players and plan for the 2014 season and beyond.
Seahorse General Manager Mark Schrock states, "We are thrilled to finally have a full-time coach for the Seahorse PDL Team, it is an answer to prayer and we are already seeing fruit in this ministry."
Coach Jackman looks forward to leading the team in a successful season, both on and off the field and the Seahorse Ministry is thankful for his willingness to serve.
